Baby Margo is FIVE months old.

Baby Margo is growing so fast- too fast for her momma!! I know I say it every month, but I just can't believe that my baby girl is already FIVE. MONTHS. OLD. I feel like we just brought her home. She is continuing to grow and show us more and more of her spunky little personality. She is so much fun. She loves to laugh and is rolling all over the place. She has stolen our hearts for sure.

At 5 Months Margo:
* Weighs 16 lbs 4oz.
* Is now wearing 6 months clothing. She can even wear a few 9 month things- depending on how it's made of course! :)
* Is continuing to gain more and more head control.
* Is rolling all over the place. We are pretty sure we are only a few months away from crawling!
* Had her first sleepover at Grandma's (mommy was there too, of course!) on 4/26/14.
* Likes to suck her thumb. This began on 4/24/14. She doesn't do it all the time. Mostly just at night.
*She also started sucking on her toes this month. She first put her feet in her mouth on 4/26/14. I know it is gross to suck on your toes, but it is cute when Baby Margo does it. ;)
*She has started to reach out for Mommy and Daddy to hold her (4/29/14). I LOVE this. This is by far my favorite accomplishment of Margo's to date! ;)
*Margo is also passing objects from one hand to the other. It is so funny to watch her closely study something and then pass it from her left to right hand.
* She is no longer sleeping in her swaddle. PRAISE! It was a tough few nights but we were able to kick the swaddle habit completely this month with the help of our trusty sleep sack. We started on 4/20/14 with Margo sleeping with her arms unswaddled and gradually moved on from there. All in all, it took about two weeks to break the swaddle habit.
*She has just recently started waking up a bit more in the middle of night. She is now waking around 1-2am and then again between 4-5am. Hopefully, a full nights sleep is in the near future.
*Miss Priss has become VERY curious. She is constantly looking around to see what is going on. We now have to nurse in a quite room or else she will not eat because she is so interested in the noises around her.
*Nicknames- Miss Priss, Lovey, and Daddy sometimes calls her MeMe.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had the best time over Memorial Day weekend. We traveled to our favorite vacation spot (OCRACOKE!) with Margo and friends. It was so nice to spend the weekend doing absolutely nothing but playing with Margo, relaxing with friends, and enjoying the beautiful ocean. The weather was just perfect for beach days. Our sweet little girl is certainly a little beach bum. She loved the beach and especially loved to have her toes dipped in the water.
Jeremy and I can't wait to have another beach day with our girl soon!

I took a ton of pictures, but as you can tell they are mostly the same pose. I could not resist adding them to the blog though! Her facial expressions are just so cute and unique in each one. Yes, I am THAT mom! :)

Going to the beach with a baby is certianly different than what we are accustomed to. But ya'll... it was SO much fun. I love spending weekends like that with my precious little family!

My First Mother's Day

Being a mother is the most wonderful blessing. Caring for Margo is truly my most important work. I was so excited to be able to spend my first Mother's Day with my beautiful baby girl, my wonderful mother, and my fabulous mother-in law.

Jeremy and Margo sure did spoil me this year! I was treated to extra sleep, breakfast and coffee, and a beautiful bracelet. We spent the day doing what we do best... eating and visiting with those we love! It was a perfect day!

Margo meets Great-Grandma Jean

This weekend Margo was able to meet someone very near and dear to my heart- my Grandmother. You may or may not know that my grandmother has suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for the past 4-5 years. In the past year, her condition has declined rapidly. I wanted Margo to have the opportunity to meet her and have her picture taken with her. I know that Margo will not remember this special meeting, but at least we will have a photo memory of her with her great-grandmother Jean. Years from now, when we look at these pictures, I can share with her my most precious memories of Grandma. Boy do I have some good ones!

Four Generations

Love!!

It was such a fun visit. We can't wait to go back and visit with Great Grandma Jean soon!!
