Lots of love and good times!

I can't believe that Jeremy and I will be getting married in only 75 days! After almost seven years together, it is so funny how that seems like such a short time and also an eternity! However, the wedding festivities were kicked into full gear this past weekend with our first two showers.

Jeremy and I are both blessed to have so many wonderful people in our life. Many of those fabulous people are pictured below.

A special thank you to my beautiful mother, grandmother, aunts, and cousins who helped make Saturday such a special day. Also, a huge thank you to my two BFF's Jamie and Blair who made Sunday so perfect. Jeremy and I love you all! :)

On a non-wedding related note... my sweet second graders caused quite a commotion in the ocean last week with their darling play. They were just precious!! :)

Cold Drinks, Good friends, a Fat Pig & a Pirate!

Jeremy & ECU's newest head football coach Ruffin McNeil!

Pig-skin Pig-out was a success and just as much fun as we thought it would be! Two-Timing did a great job and I'm sure the pig was delicious! I, however, did not get to taste-test this year because (let's face it!) I'm too old to stay up until the pig was finished! None-the-less, a good time was had by all! There was lots of good food, cold drinks, 80's music (!!!!), great friends, and a fat hog to be cooked!

The set-up looked fantastic and I was super excited to see all of the Purple & Gold paraphernalia!
Jeremy and David worked so hard
to make it look great! The set up!

The sign and flower pot!

The cooking attire! :) The weather was perfect! As you can see, there was just a slight breeze! :)

Two Timing Cook Team (again! I do not know how they came up with this name!!)

This was sorta gross!

The famous arm pose!!

And finally, the team around 1ish!!

Can't wait till Pig Skin Pig-Out 2011!

One Year Ago Today.... :)

One year ago today... Jeremy made me the happiest girl in the world! I can't believe we have been engaged for one year! It has really flown by! In less than three months I will be Mrs. Davis! Whoop! Whoop! Let the wedding festivities begin! :)

The Big Bang!!!

Well, Spring Break 2010 is officially over! Jeremy and I accomplished many things over the break! As a follow-up to the previous post (yea, I was NOT successful in day-to-day updates! Those are boring anyways!) We did find me a bike! It is in awesome shape and really does not need anything done to it; however, I think I am still going to paint it a pretty lavender. I am even contemplating a nice monogram on the back fender! Nothing is complete without a monogram! ;) We have not started working on Jeremy's yet. We tried to take a few things apart, but quickly realized that we did not know what we were doing and decided it was best to do a little bike "fixin' up" research before we got in over our heads! But both cruisers are operational and we have been able to take a few rides around the 'hood. :)

I also completed my ECU flower pot this week as well as the PTA pot! I think I may be on to a new hobby with this flower pot painting thing! My next project is a monogrammed (of course!) pot for the stand by the front door. Check out the ECU pot below and let me know what you think!

Pirate Fest kicked off this weekend and we are very excited about all the fun festivities! JAH Creation was in Greenville Friday night (very chill reggae band!) and Jeremy and I were thrilled to get the chance to check them out. We last heard them in Ocracoke about three years ago, so it had been awhile! Next weekend, is the Pig Skin Pig-out and Jeremy is cooking with "Two-Timing: The Hog is My Mistress" (DO NOT ask me how they came up with the name b/c I do not know! It's def. catchy!) again this year! I can not wait for next weekend. Last year it was tons of fun! If you are one of our Greenville friends, please come out and hang with us at the stadium! You will have loads of fun, I promise! I have posted a link so that you guys could check out JAH Creation (still working on my blog skills! not sure how to post youtube videos! ) Anyways, here is the link. Check them out!

And for the cherry on top of this fabulous spring break, I spent my Saturday night at the ER of WakeMed. :( I was on my way to Christin's bridal shower and was rear-ended at.... you will never believe it..... a STOPLIGHT!!!! To top it off, the girl had already successfully stopped behind me and then decided to slam into me (yes, I am a tiny bit bitter). Well, my head went into the steering wheel and my glasses flew to the other side of the car. Being as this was my first car accident, I remember thinking well that wasn't so bad!! And then I looked in the mirror and started to freak! I had a nice little gash on my eye and looked like one of Freddy's victims! Anyway, five hours+ten stitches later, I was promised everything would be better before I got married (literally, as this will happen in THREE months) and we were on our merry little way! My eye is def. black and a little swollen, but I am thankful that neither of us were seriously hurt. Of course, I am praying hard that this will heal fully (No scars, please!) before I get married.

SPRING BREAK 2010: Day 1

Spring break is finally here! Hallelujah! Day one of my five day break and already I have found two projects for Jeremy and myself. First, I decided that as we start our lives together we should blog about it! :) Hopefully, this will be successful and will provide our family and friends with insightful updates of the day-to-day happenings in our little world! I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is a success and not just another one of my "genius" ideas.

Secondly, as I was walking our sweet and precious pups today, I stumbled across an old discarded beach cruiser (actually, Jeremy saw it first and called me to tell me about it!). Jeremy and I have been toying with the idea of getting ourselves a pair of beach cruisers to help us stay in shape and enjoy this great NC weather. Anyway, I saw this 1980's St. Tropez cruiser tossed to the wayside and decided that it would be much more fun to restore bikes than buy a brand new one. The bike is actually in great shape and will not need much work. Jeremy will ride this one and wants to paint it lime green! I am currently on the hunt for my own beach cruiser to restore. After scouring craigslist for quite some time today, I found a perfect vintage Schwinn cruiser that I am seriously considering buying! I am thinking that I will paint my bike a beach lavender or maybe a cool turquoise! The verdict is still out on that one! I will try to post a pic of Jeremy's bike tomorrow! I can't wait to see what Day 2 of Spring Break 2010 has in store for Jeremy and I!

PS: Jeremy just loves it when I am on a break!!! NOT!
