On the road again...

This past weekend Jeremy, Jeffrey (Jeremy's little brother), and myself headed west to visit a dear friend in the Queen City! We had an awesome weekend full of visiting, eating, shopping, and exploring the local scene! To pass the time while driving, we all three tried to perfect the Sally Seashell rhyme. Try to say this very fast!!

Sally sells seashells by the sea shore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I'm sure she sells seashore shells.

Tough isn't it??

John was a great host and planned many fun things for us to do. On Saturday, we had lunch at "Big Daddy's Burger Bar." OMG!!! It was amazing! Fried pickles, sweet potato fries, and tons of toppings for your burger, do I need to continue? DELICIOUS!!!

We also did a "little" shopping on Saturday at South Park Mall. The boys were definitely ready for a nap after that adventure! Everyone bought themselves something nice, so I would say it was a successful outing! ;) Saturday night we went out in uptown Charlotte. We had a great time and cannot wait to be invited back to visit again soon! It was certainly a nice trip to top off the summer.

Thanks for the hospitality John! We love you!

Next weekend we are "on the road again!" This time we will be heading towards New River State Park for a camping and canoeing trip with our friends Derek and Amanda. Please pray for Derek and Amanda as I am not sure that they know what they are getting themselves into. I'm not much of a camper and neither Jeremy or myself have ever been canoeing down a rapid. This upcoming weekend will surely be a weekend of learning and lots of fun. Pray for Jeremy and I too, please! ;)

Well, summer break has officially ended and another school year is about to begin. While I am sad to see summer go, I am excited about meeting my new students and all of the fun things that are in-store for the 2010-2011 school year. I can not believe that this will be my third year teaching. My how time flies!! It seems just like yesterday that I was moving my things into my very first classroom. Many things have changed over the past three years. For starters, I am now MRS. DAVIS (still hasn't caught on!) and I am now teaching 2nd grade. I thank God everyday that I have a job that I enjoy so much. There are never two days that are exactly the same and that certainly keeps things interesting. But most of all, I thank God for the wonderful people that I work with. They make me smile on those bad days, keep me in check when my anal retentive tendencies take over, and constantly challenge me to be the best that I can be (army commercial flashback!!!). I love you wonderful ladies and can not wait for another awesome school year!

Not pictured are: WAY TO MANY TO NAME!!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! ;)

PS: I apologize for the font of this post. I cannot change it. :( I obviously need to work on my blog skills!

1 month

Happy 1 month anniversary to my wonderful husband!

One month ago today, Jeremy and I said "I do." It has been a wonderful 30 days and we are both looking forward to many more to come!

We have been super busy over the past month with the weddings of our good friends Jason and Christin (you may know her as "Chicky") and Kristen and Phillip! They were both beautiful weddings and Jeremy and I had a great time. We love both of these wonderful couples and wish them many years of love & laughter!

After all of the wedding festivities, Jeremy and I visited for awhile in the beautiful OBX. Below are a few pictures of our girls, Gracie & Izzy, playing in the water and of our trip to Jockey's Ridge in Kill Devil Hills.
