A few days in our life! :)

HAPPY CINCO de MAYO Amigos!

What an exciting week it has been for Jeremy and I. This past weekend we celebrated many special occasions! :)

Saturday May 1, 2010

Our friends Mandy and Barry will soon have a sweet baby boy joining their family. To celebrate this joyous occasion, Jeremy and I hosted a couple's baby shower at Winslow's Deli & Market (it seems to be the hot spot for organized gatherings these days!). Preparing for this bridal shower was so much fun! Everything was homemade (minus the food), right down to the diaper cake!! I must say that I am very proud of this diaper cake as it was the first one that I have done! We hope that Mandy and Barry enjoyed the shower as much as Jeremy and I enjoyed hosting!
Enjoy the pics!

The Mommy & Daddy-to-be!

I procrastinated a little too much and did not have time to order the invites. So... I made these cuties instead. I thought they turned out pretty well considering that I have no graphic design training! :)

Loved these centerpieces! So simple and yet so cute for a baby boy shower! I just hot glued some whimsy ribbon around a vase, added a bow and a few flowers, and called it a day!

This turned out to be so cute! I wanted to give sweet Jamison a gift that would be meaningful to him and his mommy, so I picked up a copy of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (my favorite book!) and asked that each guest write a nice little note for Jamison. I thought that it would be kinda cool for his mom to read as a bedtime story and maybe share a sweet message from someone who loved him before they even knew him!

The Dad & Uncle J!

And finally, MY DIAPER CAKE! It was pretty simple, but remember this was my first one! I just love it! Maybe I will branch out and add a few more things on my next one! :)

Jeremy and I also enjoyed another bridal shower this weekend. My dad's family hosted this one and they did such a wonderful job. It was great to see everyone! I got to snap a few photos afterward with my Granny & Papa. I love them very much and it was so nice to spend time with them this past weekend!

Papa and I! Oh, how I love this man. :) (for some reason my eye was not easily covered up this weekend! GRRR!)

One of my favorite presents so far! Can't wait to whip up something delicious soon! :)

And finally, I had to add a picture of my sweet Izzy girl.

Love her!
